As everyone probably knows, April's birthstone is the diamond. Precious, valuable, "A girl's best friend," and the symbol of enduring love: I love them and so do you.
I was an April baby, so lately I'm thinking of diamonds. When this mood strikes me, however, I think of off-color diamonds: browns and blacks, and cut in unusual shapes.
They're generally under-appreciated as gemstones, but as complements to an ensemble of other stones and metals, they're enormously versatile and successful. I love to mix them in with pretty much whatever I'm wearing, and they always earn a lot of attention and compliments. Below are a few that I've designed.
