Meet Taylor: San Francisco Today, Bergdorfs Tomorrow...

My name is Taylor Ross, and I am a recent grad with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. I'm originally from Dededo, Guam, but I also lived in Austin, Texas for over 10 years. After a short time in Halifax, Canada, I made my way to San Francisco and absolutely love it!

My dream job is to be a buyer at Bergdorf Goodman, and I'm starting my journey by working with Mabel. It's a great learning experience, and she definitely knows how to communicate and help you become successful. Even though I've only been part of the team for a short time, I have learned so much and enjoyed every second; doing trade shows and learning to how to run a business up close and personal has boosted my real-world knowledge, and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to be a valuable part of the team.

Because I'm always around an amazing mix of stones and gems it's hard to pick a favorite, but I will have to go with my birthstone Sapphire: it has such a strong shade of blue it's gorgeous to me.

As for fashion, well that is certainly a hard one but for now I am really taken by Alexander Wang. I love his street wear, how his designs are gender neutral, and I love the basic colors he uses. I also love his back story and how he started his business at 27--he's very inspiring to me! Right now I'm really I'm really into the sporty chic look:                                                     

I'm a bit tomboyish, but through-and-through girly, and this style works well for me!
